Things have come full circle for Kim VanTuinen and the gang at Van Optical. Three of the four opticians worked at Van Optical years ago, and now have joined up again to make the long time Toledo eyecare favorite better than ever.

Current owner, Kim VanTuinen, daughter of the founder, Lou VanTuinen, has been a part of Van Optical most of her life.

She began working for her father in 1984 and stayed until she left Toledo for a few years in 1995. Kim returned to town and ultimately to the store in 2005.

In September 2007, in family tradition, Kim took over Van Optical and has many plans for the ‘new’ Van Optical. Among those plans is putting together a great staff. If there’s anything that separates Van Optical from its competition, it’s customer service and personal attention.

Kim has put together a ‘family’ of both old and new faces, all glad to be and Van Optical and genuinely wanting to help their customers however they can.
